Due to an unforseen personal crisis certain members of the band are dealing with, recording is being postponed indefinitely. Meanwhile, we want to you all to welcome the newest addition to the band, Drew Creel. We look forward to playing live at a club soon, so we can showcase the new guys' talent and the new music. Bio will be up shortly. The form for feedback is working again. Also, the guestbook is functional.

First off, apologies to those who continue to check our webpage and not see any updates. More important things have taken priority in our lives, and that is why there's been a lack of activity on this webpage and from the band itself. We'd like to say that the Insane for Humane show at La Zona Rosa was alot of fun, and we hear they raised quite a bit of money, which is awesome. Anyone happen to hear us on the 101X live remote that day? I'm curious as to how we sounded.

Well, unless you're on our mailing list, you would have known that we have been working on and off with a new singer since late Feb/early Mar. So why haven't you guys seen him? Well, you'll see him when he's damn good and ready!! But seriously, it takes time to work in a new guy, and with all the BS we've been going through, it will be awhile. We will rerecord a few of our songs by the end of Oct. and put them on mp3.com for you to get a taste of what he's like, then you'll just have to wait for the live shows.

Things are looking better these days in the search for a new singer. We've actually had people calling in that can actually sing! Now we've just got to sort through the demos and audition some more people. We're taking our time because we're going to do it right this time. With the holidays upon us, it's a good time to take a break and give you all an update on what we're doing. For those of you who are bored this holiday season, we've p ut up a trivia question in light of our singer search. Once you make your guess, click on the comments link within the window that pops up to find out the correct answer.

Many changes are coming, band wise and also with this website. We've been looking for the past few months now for a new singer. Don't worry, Drawn Under will still be playing shows as usual (in case you haven't noticed). Once we find the right singer, Ken will step down and focus on his bass duties for the band. As for the web site, the first update will be the completion of Hsien-Hsiu's bio in the members section. Currently, the website that hosts our guestbook decided to merge with another site, so the guestbook isn't working right now. Thanks to all of you for your continued support. Retooling a band is never easy.

July 14, 1999	Well we finally played again for the first time in over 2 months. I think we forgot how tiring it is. Thanks to everyone for hanging around even though we went on after 1am. We have shirts now and will be available at the shows for $4. Prepare for some changes within Drawn Under.

April 24, 1999	Thanks to everyone for coming out last night and last friday night to the Black Cat. Had some other good local bands come out for support. Wax Dart, members of Inhabit and Gash and other bands. If you haven't made it out to a Drawn Under show yet, next Friday, April 30 will be the last show for a while. Probably won't be back until June. We'll be working on new material and possibly a CD. So get yer asses out to the Black Cat on the 30th.
April 16 and 23, 1999	Friday nights at the Black Cat has got some heavy shit. We hooked it up with HeKill Three on the 16th, and then hooked it up with them again along with Pistol Grip Pump again, to put on another ass-kicking metal show. Be looking for more metal line ups like these when we, along with other heavy hitters, hook it up at Atomic Cafe or Steamboat.
April 12, 1999	METAL FEST! at Steamboat went better than expected. The energy of the bands and the overall vibe was great. The crowd was really into the whole show. Last night was proof that metal is alive and kicking ass in Austin. If you didn't make it out last night you missed one hell of a show.
April 10, 1999	Well this time we didn't have to pull a double set. Pistol Grip Pump played with us last night. They played one show at the Backroom, then packed up and came to the Black Cat and played another. Pistol Grip Pump was good, check them out sometime.
April 3, 1999	Unfortunately for some circumstance Bud didn't play the show. We ended up doing two sets at the Black Cat last night-played for about two and a half hours(damn we're tired) Pretty good crowd for both sets-some guys almost got itno a fight.
March 31, 1999	Our vocalist got screwed over by his job so he was stuck out on Dallas during the show at Flamingo Cantina last night. Thanks to Brad from Self Bias for doing the fill-in. He did a good a job as anyone could. The booking guy canned one of the bands just so we could go on a little earlier. Is that cool or what?
March 27, 1999	Talk about perfect timing. We headed out to the Black Cat friday night to see Bud and Gash and also to flyer for our upcoming show at Flamingo. Gash had just announced that they weren't going to be playing during the month of April. So as we walked in, we talked with the club owner and we got the fill in for Gash again while they're out. March 26, 1999	That's right, the establishment. Drawn Under will be playing at Steamboat April 11 for probably the first ever 'metal fest' showcased at Steamboat. Others include Wax Dart, Self Bias, and headliners Dr. Jellyfinger. A big muchas gracias to Clint from Dr. Jellyfinger for hooking us up with the show. Later on there will be a link on this page or the shows page to a ticket that you can print out and bring to the Steamboat show for $1 admission.
March 19, 1999	We got airplay! (Well sort of) A buddy of mine is a DJ for KVRX 91.7 on real audio. 91.7 shares the frequency with KOOP, so they are on during the day, while KVRX owns the air during the night. March 8, 1999	The Black Cat show was a lot of fun. We jammed, then Bud jammed even harder. These guys are cool. Normally, a band called Gash opens up for Bud, but they couldn't do it since they were playing out of town. (I heard the singer was in jail, but you didn't hear that from me) So we got the call to fill in. Bud rocked so hard they had girls in their pit. Damn!

It's a very well designed site and the Chief Director is down with the heavy shit. If you're an Austin musician, they'll list on you their site for free. Go there and tell 'em Drawn Under sent ya.
